behind the “mental health” scene
Being in therapy is a vulnerable place
It can be a scary place. It might mean that you have to answer questions or consider things you have been afraid to look at before. It’s hard to let someone you don’t know into your inner world. To reveal all those secrets you’ve been holding on to so tightly.
In this blog, Eliza will share some of the more “behind the scenes” aspects of therapy – maybe you’ll learn something about the practice you weren’t sure about. Maybe you’ll find some reasons to get started. We’ll also lean into some learning that’s queer focused, deconstruct some of those traditional therapeutic ideas and work to understand mental health from a more culturally relevant perspective.
